About

The Architect is an independent blog launched in August 2026 by me, Jerome Asselin, dedicated to the art and science of solution architecture within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem.

I spent the last 15 years working on AX (renamed D365 Finance and Operations aka "F&O" and then "Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management"), transitioning from BA roles to functional architect to solution architect, with a knack for Project Accounting and Management.

I recently switched to the Dataverse side of D365 with Project Operations.

This blog is focused on Dynamics 365 Project Operations, Finance integration, ERP transformations, and enterprise solution design, sharing practical insights drawn from real-world implementation experiences.

The goal is simple: how to solve business problems with the technology at hand, bridge the gap between business strategy and technology execution by exploring the architectural decisions and practical product information.

Here you will find articles covering:

  • Dynamics 365 Project Operations architecture, best practices and product capabilities along with new features
  • Integration patterns for Project Operations, Finance and ERP
  • Solution design strategies for complex business processes
  • Dataverse, Power Platform, and Microsoft ecosystem integrations
  • Implementation methodologies and governance frameworks
  • Performance, scalability, security, and maintainability considerations
  • Lessons learned from ERP and business application projects

Design with purpose. Integrate with confidence. Deliver with excellence.
